Momentum Table

Momentum Table is a hand-sculpted console table, carved out of stack-laminated Hard Maple wood with traditional joinery. The table top shape of Momentum Table is derived from a monoprint artwork, paired with the table below. Intersecting motion-tracked lines track the artist's body movement, creating flowing biophilic curves.

Momentum Table is based on a scale-size bronze sculpture, first modeled in clay. The artist used the additive process of working in clay to develop forms that create a unique table form that connects with the viewer.

The table’s gentle undulating curves are hand-carved with a sensitivity to volume and formal details that come from the designer’s background in fine art. They are first sculptures that also have an added function as a table.
